    We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Arusha, Moshi or upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha airports in a clean airconditioned vehicle and drive short distance to Maasai village. At the village, you experience many traditional aspects of Maasai life, but also see how the Maasai adapt to development and contact with modern civilization. All visits are planned and arranged by the Maasai themselves; they will show you their traditional Maasai dance and singing, different types of Maasai houses, traditional beads, making fire, ornaments, some bush techniques & medicine and you can also walk with their cattle on the plains before going to Materuni village the home of chagga tribe.

    You will be invited to a Chagga home for a hot traditional lunch and tropical fruits. Then after lunch you will gain knowledge about Tanzania coffee Industry directly from a local barista and join the grinding of coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances - a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture, You will make your own cup of coffee using traditional ways, taste local coffee and before you say goodbye, you can savor the coffee you made and then we will processed with a 1 hour hike to Materuni waterfalls

  • Materuni Waterfalls, Moshi, Tanzania
    Materuni waterfalls is located around 45 mins to 1 hour walking from Materuni village. Materuni village is still an authentic tribal village home to the Chagga tribe and the last village before the Kilimanjaro National Park on the way you will learn about the culture of the Chagga tribe, village life and the surrounding flora and fauna. With your guide alongside, you will enjoy breathtaking views and with luck, you may see the peak of mount Kilimanjaro. On the way trail can be slippery & muddy, so it is best to have good hiking shoes with grip and a rain coat. When you reach the waterfalls, marvel at cascades that are more than 80-meters (262-feet) high, Spend sometime there before driving back to Arusha, Moshi or Kilimanjaro airport.

What an experience! First our driver MPemba was on time and very professional. The Massai village was welcoming and taught us a lot about their culture. I don’t think there was a moment when we weren’t smiling. We learned how to throw a spear, they dressed us in their attire, and the educational experience was phenomenal! MPemba educated us about certain buildings plants and etc.. He was very patient and pleasant. I would recommend this tour to everyone visitingTanzania. Thank you so much for the experience.

Très belle balade avec vue sur le Kilimandjaro en fond de toile . Cascade impressionnante. Peut se faire sans guide mais bon ….pas le choix ! Puis visite du village avec explications sur le café de A a Z avec toute la tribu . C’est bien fait, ils y mettent du coeur . Puis déjeuner au cœur du village chez l’habitant avec les spécialités du coin ….belle expérience.
