Nakupenda (In swahili means I LOVE YOU) is the name of an amazing sandbank located just off Stone town. A Full day trip dedicates Prison Island’s giants tortoises visit, snorkeling, sunbathing, taste of Sea foods and seasonal fruits. Snorkeling off Prison island, viewing stunning array of colored corals and tropical fish of the islands before reaching our dream place Nakupenda. A place where brilliant birdlife exists, very white sand, limpid and crystalline water. You would live in the natural reserve that hospitable by its naturalistic and their proper pearls of Indian Ocean. The language of the white sands and their alternative sea appear and disappear. Enjoy our seasonal fruits, sand bathing and our Sea food lunch. Relax on the sandbank or discover marine life around the sandbank before riding our motorboat or sailing back to Stone town.

L'excursion à faire sur l'île... depuis Stone Town en bateau, nous sommes une 10zaine de groupe dur le ban de sable... déjeuner fait par les locaux... paradisiaque !

0/10 would not book or recommend. After being picked up from our hotel by the driver who was supposed to drive us to the boat, we were very concerned as he pulled over multiple times and made side trips that involved stopping the car, other people coming up to the car, him passing them mysterious baggies and receiving cash in return. Upon arriving at the location where we were supposed to launch, we were already deeply uncomfortable. To make matters worse the boat that was supposed to take us over was in poor condition and the drinking water we were supposed to use was bug infested. At this point everything so far had been so bad that were not comfortable getting on the boat and decided to cancel the trip and asked our driver to take us back to our hotel. Importunely the "excitement" didn't there. On the drive home our driver got in a car accident then got in a physical fight with three men from the other vehicle. This fight carried over into our vehicle as we were in the back seat. The driver appeared to have stolen the keys to the vehicle that hit us. It seems likely that the "accident" was intentional. Overall, this booking was a nightmare and a traumatizing experience and not at all what we paid for. I would not recommend this to anyone.
