day trip to prison Island and Nakupenda We left our hotel DA and arrived at the port of Stone Town. First stop at Prison Island, many beautiful turtles walking in an area of the island. of the prison there is only the structure now used for bars and other commercial activities Then we went to Nakupenda. the tide was low and the tongue sand was long. crystal clear and transparent water. possible to snorkel and sunbathe. We then had lunch of BBQ fish with fresh tropical fruit. The tour was organized by the beach boys in front of our hotel. everything perfect

No hagáis esta excursión. No merece la pena. Es carísima para lo que realmente vas a hacer y ver. Primero te llevarán a un banco de arena sin fondo marino, solo verás algas. Al fondo ves el puerto de stone town (desde donde coges el barco) . Eso sí, la comida que nos pusieron fue brutal, no puedo decir nada sobre esto, una bandeja para 5 personas por lo menos de frutas diferentes y otra bandeja con patatas fritas y mariscos buenísimos para también unas 5 personas (éramos 2). Después irás a prison island… una verdadera estafa. Te venden la excursión como de día entero… en realidad hemos estado 3 horas y media en total + traslados según donde te alojes. Sale a cuenta alquilar una moto o un coche (20 dólares x día) ir tu mism@ a stone town y negociar con un barquero para que te lleve. Más o menos por unos 70000 chelines tanzanos que son unos 23-25 dólares. Te compras 2 mangos y un manojo de plátanos y listos. Sumas la entrada a prison island y la gasolina y por 60-70 dólares lo tienes hecho

Nothing went terribly wrong, but the all in all experience could even better. The guys who accompanied us tried their best, but the the all trip was a bit rough and ready. Nakupenda is magic place and worth going while in Zanzibar.
