We went as a group of 5 with Simon "The Safari Monster" as our guide and what can I say, he 100% lives up to the name. Simon was an absolutely fantastic guide who made sure our safari was a truly unforgetable experience. Accommodation was outstanding, with incredibly hospitable and friendly staff at each of our places stay that would put even put some western equivalents to shame. The food arrangments provided by Safari Soles made sure we recieved freshly cooked hot meals everyday with drinks and coffee provided, it honestly felt we were getting spoiled. And as for Simon himself, he is without doubt one of the best tourguides we have ever had the pleasure of having, With his charm and great sense of humour coupled with his intimate knowledge of the animals and locations, he made sure the entirety of the trip was packed full of excitement and that we saw as many of the amazing animals as possible including all of the big 5, cheetahs, flamingos and more. I cannot honestly recommend Safari Soles enough especially if you are heading on your first safari; if you get the chance, make sure to ask for the Safari Monster!

If you are reading this, you have likely read an endless number of reviews to try to figure out which safari tour company to book with. I found it totally overwhelming. In the end, we booked with Safari Soles and it was the best decision. Know if you book with them you can have peace of mind that you are going with a good company and good people. From the moment Bryson responded to me, I knew his company was the right one. He was kind, and patient and always responded quickly. Our Safari was lead by Izack who was incredible. He is kind, gentle and highly skilled. Our Safari was in the wet season, with lots of mud and Izack took his time to make sure we didn’t get stuck (we saw other groups stuck and being pulled out with chains). Once you go on a safari, you understand how important it is to have someone who is skilled and confident driving the truck that is used and Izack was both, and more. We saw the “big five” and much more. Izack missed nothing - he saw every hiding leopard, black rhino and crocodile!! It was impressive. He was in touch with others in the area (by radio) so we missed nothing. Izack was lovely to our boys, ages 10 and 14. They thought he was fantastic and even said they missed him in the days following our Safari. The accommodations Bryson set up were incredible, each with a unique vibe and always a spectacular view. I was pleasantly surprised by all of them (and I can be a stitch picky in this area!). Our meals were delicious. We saw many groups with boxed lunches but we had a delicious hot meal each day, with beer, wine and soda always on hand. To anyone trying to figure out which safari company to book with, I highly recommend Safari Soles. You will not be disappointed.
