    Stone Town is well known for its architecture (Buildings and narrow streets) also is one of the oldest cities in Africa and a former Trading destination in East Africa. On this tour, we will explore the Historic City of Stone Town sights which includes; Anglican Cathedral and Former Slave market, House of Wonders (National museum in Zanzibar), Palace Museum, the Old Fort, Hamamni Baths, Catholic Cathedral, Freddy Mercury House, Darajani Market, Tipu Tipu's House, and all other popular landmarks and sights in Stone Town.

  • Big Body With Tatata Spice Farm, Zanzibar City, Tanzania
    Zanzibar Island, well know for Spices and herbs. On this tour, we will visit the Jambo and Tangawizi Spice Farm where you will learn, explore, smell, and taste different kind of spices, herbs, and tropical fruits that are available in Zanzibar like; Cloves, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, coconuts, papaya, chili, black pepper, jack-fruit, cardamom, cassava, and many more. Also at the Spice Farm, you will be watching someone climbing up a Coconut Tree while singing a local song (Jambo Bwana) and later you will enjoy eating fresh fruits including; Coconut Juice, Bananas, Watermelons, Pineapples, Mangoes, etc)

  • Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, Tanzania
    Jozani Forest National Park is the only National Park in Zanzibar. Jozani Forest is known for Red Colobus Monkeys which are among the rare species that can only be easily found in Zanzibar. Other species that can be found at Jozani are Sykes monkey, bushbabies, more than 50 species of butterfly, and 40 species of birds. Butterflies and Birds mostly can be seen early morning or evening. Also at Jozani forest, there are different types of plantations, some of them are being used for cure, for construction, to create furniture, etc. After the Jozani forest tour, we will go for a Mangrove boardwalk, where you will learn about Mangroves and how they can help prevent coastal erosion.

On the 20th of June we had a private tour with Sultan tours for Jozani Forest, Spice farm and Stonetown. The communication with the organization was superb and the chauffeur was precisely on time. Furthermore, he was kind and patient as it took a whole day. Another good point was that for each section of the tour we had a separate guide who was specialized on that specific subject. Comparing the price with other operators, the price/quality ratio was excellent. I would recommend Sultan tours to anyone who is interested in sightseeing in Zanzibar

The Tour itself is a pretty good combination for the money and sure to take all day if you are staying somewhere in the North as it takes some time to travel. The Jozani forest was first, a pretty short stop to take a brief walk in the jungle and you are pretty much guaranteed to see the monkeys. Then a quick walk around the mangroves and back to the car. This is done in small groups by the way. Might be worth spending 30 minutes more afterwards in the jungle to see more things. Next up was Stone Town, this was pretty much perfect, professional guide, plenty time and all very safe and easy. Last up was the spice farm which was interesting but also felt like a bit too much focused on activities for tips. Altogether a good tour that still can handle some improvements.

Our guide did explain all history behind the stone town and take us to all landmarks that are located in Stone Town and it reminds me a little bit of Sevilla. Spice Farm was so memorable and was the best in Zanzibar, tasted all spices and enjoyed fresh fruit and great dish too. Jozani Park was great too. I highly recommend it, The Sultan Tours was so helpful during our trip in Tanzania.
