Discover Lipari and Vulcano, two must-visit islands in the stunning UNESCO-listed Aeolian Archipelago. The chain of tiny islands boasts dramatic volcanic landscapes and Bahamas-esque beaches, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Spend time at leisure on each island, perhaps exploring Lipari Old Town, relaxing in Vulcano on the beaches under the sizzling sun. (Please note that there will be other groups on board of the motorboat). A penalty will be incurred in case of a no-show. The motorboat is equipped with bar and toilets. It is absolutely forbidden to consume takeaway food and/or drinks on board. Toilets are not accessible near the ports and therefore their use is permitted exclusively during navigation. Smoking is prohibited inside and outside our motor ships (there is an exception at the stern, in the embarkation and disembarkation area, authorized by our on-board staff).

We had a fantastic day out. Joseph, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable about Sicily, as well as adding some humour to the day, which was lovely. On Lipari, we opted out of the optional bus tour as we wanted to explore the town on foot - can highly recommend going up to see the basilica and exploring both of the main streets where some really lovely food can be had. On Vulcano, be advised that although the tour advertises the mud baths, these are currently closed for refurbishment and will be for the foreseeable future. However, there was the option of going to one of two beaches - I can highly recommend the black sand beach which is a short walk from where the ferry docks and is perhaps the most beautiful beach with the clearest water, lovely to swim in, that I have ever been to. This wasn't a problem for us, but just to be aware that you will share transport with other tours, as travel is via a public ferry, but Joseph was able to help us board more quickly and efficiently, although the queueing system did break down on the ferry back from Vulcano. As we were technically visiting in the off season, it was crowed but we were always able to get a seat on the top deck, which was lovely. All in all, it was a wonderful day out with some of the best views - we even saw some mountain goats and dolphins on the way back! Huge thank you to Joseph and our driver, Carmelo, for making it so memorable.

Long day and felt a bit like being in a cattle heard as there was so many people. We were on a double decker coach from Taormina and were joined on the ferry by what felt like 200 other people. The ferry was very busy and I don't think there was sufficient seating for everyone on the tour. Lipari is beautiful and was a lovely place to visit. Vulcano wasn't really for us. There seemed to be three choices of activity, the beach, a mini-bus tour (at extra cost), or sit in a bar for 2 1/2 hours until the ferry was due. Personally we would have preferred to spend more time on Lipari as we were told to eat on the island which too time from the 2 hours there. Would we recommend, most probably not. Although the guide was very pleasant.
