This full-day tour allows you to go from a morning visit to Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, to the beautiful and surprising valley of Alcantara river in the afternoon. In the first part of the excursion, you will submerge in nature and visit old craters and lava flow caves, enjoy breathtaking views, and taste typical local products. In the afternoon, before seeing the famous basaltic canyon named Gorges, you will walk next the river Alcantara through a lush vegetation until to visit the Gurne, little lakes created by the same river.

We had such a great day with our guide, Daria - she was super knowledgeable, kept her energy and enthusiasm level high all day, and made sure we all had a great time. We learned so much about Mt. Etna and the history of the area while visiting some of the coolest sites we’ve ever seen. Thank you, Daria!!

Our tour guide, Peppe, was extremely knowledgeable about every place we went to, giving us history and facts around what we were experiencing and was wonderfully friendly, in addition! As a solo traveler, I felt so comfortable with him as well as the rest of the travelers who went. We had such a great time together! Our whole group opted for the cable car option when we were at Mt. Etna and I am so glad we did! It was a stunning sight and I hiked around the crater and took some surreal photos! I also enjoyed our time at Alcantara—I signed up for the tour last minute so hadn’t planned anything in advance which had its pros (surprises throughout the day) and its cons (wished I had brought water shoes, a towel and maybe even shorts for that portion of the excursion). This experience was absolutely amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend it!

Friendly and professional. Well organised. On time pick up. There were only us and another couple on our trip which was great. We were given plenty of time at each stop and able to go off to explore Etna and the Gorges on our own. There was no pressure to buy additional extras or at the local wine maker that we stopped at which. Overall a great day. Etna was amazing and we were lucky the sun was out while we were there. Alcantara Gorge was far better than i imagined and very beautiful.
