    After approximately 2 hours coach touring from Launceston through the lush landscape and rolling farmland of Sheffield and the North West Coast we arrive at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. Located on the park boundary, enjoy the interpretive displays, park information, up to date weather information and learn everything there is to know about this stunning alpine area. The Centre also has toilet facilities, a gift shop, cafe and takeaway and is known for it's friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful native gardens surround the Centre. Enjoy a short 5 minute walk to cascading waterfalls, known as the Enchanted Forest Walk.

A day hut is where you will enjoy a light lunch, provided by a local bakery, before visiting the historic guest house of Waldheim and enjoying the easy 20 minute walk in Weindorfers Forest.

We were so lucky that we were there on a clear day and Cradle Mountain greeted us as we arrived! Also, not to mention we had an amazing guide like Ben, who was very knowledgeable and passionate on sharing his love for Tassie with us. Thank you for the unforgettable time which we will keep for a long time to come.

Ben's knowledge of Cradle Mountain's geography and his passion for the preservation of the area was inspiring. Dove lake is mystical and we loved the walk through the ancient rain forest.
