Wander through the sanctuary at your leisure and see the animals' daytime habits; sleeping in their dens, sun baking, play fighting or fossicking for food. On one of our day keeper tours, an experienced guide will lead you through the sanctuary, giving you a greater understanding of this unique animal and the Devils@Cradle conservation programs, and allowing you the chance to view these extraordinary animals up close.

    Join one of our animal keepers for a relaxed wander through the sanctuary. See the resident animal’s daylight habits, such as sleeping in their dens, basking, playing, exploring, or fossicking for food.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • A small amount of walking is involved. Some uneven surfaces present within the sanctuary
  • Operates in all weather conditions and a large portion is outdoors, we recommend dressing appropriately
  • Photography is welcome
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

The friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated staff and the opportunity to see the animals which are difficult to see in their natural environment, but mostly the excellent conservation effort being undertaken

This was a highlight of our trip. We got a great view of some very active devils and quolls. Probably more importantly the keeper’s talk gave us a great overview of the conservation situation. It was interesting from start to finish, not too long, not too short. This opinion was shared by everyone in attendance.

The tour guide was fabulous and informative. It was great to see the Tassie Devils so close up. The whole experience was great!
