Our guide was really lovely and caring. Given this, her English was limited. This tour was not worth the price. Our first visit was to a supermarket that's visited by locals,something I could have googled myself and was not explicitly stated in the tour description. We did not get any historical explanations of what was eaten or the any of the sites we passed. For over $200+ this Was very expensive to visit super markets and buying small items of food along the way. All the foods that were purchased was simply not worth the price. I could have taken the train to the market and ordered the foods on my own. Again,the tour guide was very generous and nice. We enjoyed her company more.

What a night! Our guide Andrea was amazing. He was so funny and very knowledgeable about Japanese culture and area. He took us where locals hangout and we ate and drink. We learned about Gion area and geisha district. It was wonderful night! Highly recommended and Andrea, thank you for a wonderful guide. My son told me it was the best tour so far in Japan.

Fantastic tour of a Japanese grocery store, the basement food court of Daimaru department store, a few local specialty food stores, and a walk through Nishiki market. Momo was full of information and great suggestions, and I had a taste of some fantastic food. The curry bun and sashimi at Nishiki market were my favorites. Thank you again to Momo and Cooking Sun!
