Tuk Tuk experience in Tavira, including artisanal chocolate tasting. The "City & Chocolate Tour" is carried out by Maria's Tuk Tuk. This tour starts in the Alto de São Brás area, stops at the salt flats, passes by the Bernardas Convent and stops at the São Sebastião church. Continuing through the military barracks, São Francisco church and São José church. Halfway through the tour, we pass by the Ibelle chocolate atelier. Then we move on to Praça da República (center) and the historic area. The places of passage are the Convento da Graça, Church of Santiago, Church of Santa Maria, Church of Misericórdia and we stop at Castelo de Tavira. The end of this tour is at Maria's Tuk Tuk stop, near the Roman Bridge of Tavira.

A most informative and pleasant one and a half hours. The guide/driver whose name I've forgotten was very knowledgeable and made the experience most interesting. We saw parts of Tavira which we would not have seen otherwise and will revisit some places during the rest of our stay.

Great experience, great guide, very informative. Our guide blended history, culture, tradition, the environment, the importance of both flora and fauna, myths and legend. A great way to see the town and learn. Then go back and visit places of interest. Oh and the chocolates are divine ???? ????????

This was a brilliant trip. We got picked up at our hotel and the guide was first class, full of really interesting stories as we went along. He spotted flamingos and stopped so we could get out and see them. The nature part was so good. On the city part, he was so engaging and really brought to life the history of the city and its buildings. The chocolate stop was fun too, although sadly they weren’t making any on a Monday morning. Fab chocolate though! The tuk tuk itself was great fun - take a cardigan in the autumn, it got a bit chilly on the road back from 4 Aquas. We’d like to do another one next time we come to Tavira - maybe the Santa Luzia one….
