This 6-days trek- Trekking from Tusheti to Khevsureti is probably the most stunning trail you can imagine. Our journey takes us through Greater Caucasus mountains, characterized by alpine meadows, snow-covered peaks, pine trees and medieval villages. We follow a car road in Tusheti and visit the stone villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, Parsma and Girevi. Afterwards, we will take a shepherd trail into the Caucasus mountains and hike into the wilderness for 3 days. There is no hut, no humans except hikers. We will cross the Atsunta pass at 3400m, and descend into another region- Khevsureti. Here the pathway becomes easier and in several kilometres follows the car road. We visit spectacular villages of Mutso and Shatili with stone towers and houses. Both defensive medieval complexes were built on the Rocky Mountains and offers picturesque views of the narrow gorges. Here we end our trekking tour and return to Tbilisi by a comfortable transport.

I highly recommend using Trek Georgia for your time in Georgia. Communication prior to the trip was easy with quick responses. Our guide Tato was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we trekked through and taught us a lot about Georgian culture. Also a special thanks to the office manager Anna who helped track down my lost bag with the airline. This was a memorable trip that we will talk about for years!

I enjoyed my whole trip with Trek Georgia and highly recommend people who enjoy nature do the 7-day trekking in Tusheti. The place is remote since it is difficult to access due to the roads, which I thought was one of the highlights of the trip just driving there!
Our guide Dimitri was great.

My wife and I recently completed a private 6-day trek from Dartlo to Shatili. Everything from our first contact with Dimitri to our emotional farewells with our INCREDIBLE guides Nutsa and Misha was extraordinary. We highly recommend Trek Georgia to anyone looking for adventure and exquisite Georgian hospitality. Nutsa is not only an incredible guide, but she is clearly well respected in every village of Tusheti and Khevsureti. We were welcomed at every guest house as friends and honored guests, making the experience that much more memorable. Nutsa was also an encyclopedia of local history and legends, which enlivened our gorgeous surroundings. We elected to have horse support for the trek, which we did not regret... especially as we ascended Atsunta pass. Not only did our beautiful Tushetian ponies carry our gear, when we needed a rest Aleco, our awesome horseman, had us hop on and ride for as long as we needed. We really can't recommend Trek Georgia enough. We came as guests and left as friends - we are already dreaming about our return to Georgia and our next adventure with this great outfit.
