Teide National Park is one of the best places to admire the sunset in Tenerife. In 2013, Teide National Park was declared a Starlight Tourist Destination and Starlight Reserve by the Starlight Foundation and since then the number of tourists interested in astronomy has grown, making Tenerife a popular destination for astronomers worldwide. The low light pollution inside Teide National Park (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is what makes it the perfect place for stargazing in Tenerife, as here you're almost guaranteed great night sky conditions, which will allow you to observe varios stars and constellations. Tenerife has a special law in place in order to protect these pristine star-watching conditions inside Teide National Park, by controlling the flight routes and limiting the light pollution inside the park. At an altitude of 2000 meters, we will discover the constellations designed by our ancestors and their brightest stars.

    We start picking up people from the south area only. Costa Adeje, Playa Las Américas, and Los Cristianos. Pick-up is from the given meeting points only. If you are at a place which doesn't show up in the list of meeting points. please communicate this with us in order to provide you with a meeting point closer to you. The first ones collected will also be the first ones to get dropped off. Important to know is that we communicate exact pick-up time in the morning day of the excursion using WhatsApp of by phone call.

    This is a local town where we'll visit a typical restaurant specialized in grill. We'll have a 3 course menu starting with a vegetable soup, bread with canary sauce. For the main course we'll get roast chicken with canary potatoes and salad. For desert we'll have some cake. Drinks are also included like local red and white wine, water, 7UP and Pepsi. Any other drinks are available at the bar for an extra charge. Also there is vegetarian or vegan option. Grilled vegetables with rise, canary potatoes and salad. The restaurant also provides gluten free option, and or lactose free. For lactose free we have fresh fruit for desert. Children have a special menu. Chicken nuggets with french fries. The menu is basic but the portions are good and the food is tasteful.

    We'll arrive at a great location to enjoy sunset and beautiful views from above the clouds. Standing between a lava landscape with views to volcano Teide behind us. We also take pictures for you as a nice reminder of this beautiful moment. After the sunset we guide you through the national park Teide showing and explaining you some of the great volcanoes with their history. This is a great opportunity allowing us to see the amazing volcanic landscape before it gets dark until we reach our final destination at around 2000m where we'll be starting the very unique stargazing experience using powerful telescopes and laser to show you constellations and some of the important stars. Every day is different like every sunset moment or some of the stars we can see depending on the season and the time of the year we're in.

An incredible excursion! We were picked up from our hotel at 5:30pm and we arrived back safely at around 12:45am - excellent value for money! Our journey was led by our wonderful tour guide, who was not only so knowledgeable about the constellations and the National park of Teide, but he was so humorous with his talk too. We started with a meal (basic) at a restaurant, which was vegetable soup, half a chicken with rice and potato and a lemon mousse. Soft drinks, water and red wine were also on the table (complimentary). After this, the coach picked us back up and we stopped off at a point on Mount Teide to watch the sunset - truly stunning views. After this, we drove further up the mountain to experience star gazing, through the use of their telescopes. We were shown where the milky way was and the North Star, as well as many other constellations with a surprise at the end. This was a very special experience and well worth the value for money!

The resort tried to call to cancel reservation as we had wrong date. I reach out to confirm a location requested a call which was never completed by the tour operator. Gran Melia RedLevel team was helpful just not the tour operators

Ozzy our tour guide was amazing. He absolutely made the trip with his enthusiasm, knowledge and jokes! The trip on the whole was wonderful and so glad we did it! The restaurant we stopped at for dinner was authentic and rustic but the food was lovely, vegetable soup, half a roast chicken with canary potatoes, rice and wonderful bread dipping sauces. Pudding was lemon moose. After that we stopped for the sunset views before going up for the star gazing inside a crater, it’s was other worldly and spectacular! We went with our 11 year old daughter so had to buy the adult ticket, but we were able to get her the child’s meal which she appreciated. It was a coach load not a small mini bus, but this was fine for us and as they had 4 telescopes you didn’t have to wait long at all. Overall it was worth the money and a once in a lifetime experience to see stars like that from a crater! Thank you to you all ????
