There are a lot of easy to get to and easy to use bars in hua him. Head to soi bintabaht for probably the more lively side of the nightlife. Bars such as the tiger and the captain's are fun to have a few drinks in. The garden beer bar in the centre is good too with a big screen for the sport. Plenty of other bars in that area. Further out you have a few bars around soi 80. I'm sure you can find what you want in hua hin . It's not too in your face which is nice.
