    Imagine exploring the intriguing history while enjoying a leisurely walk. This is why this walking tour interested me. My standout moments was at the Carmo Church, due to the wonderful architecture.

    The walking tour became a tuk tuk tour which allowed us to see much more of the city. Our guide, Ernesto was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. Note that the Faro traffic and roads can be difficult as there are many one way streets and in our case one street we needed to go down was blocked with no easy work around. So allow extra time to get to your meeting point.

    The guide narrated tales of conquerors, merchants, and artists who contributed to the rich tapestry of Faro’s cultural heritage. Particularly impressive was the stunning Carmo Church, which absolutely took my breath away with its unique architecture and history.
