We will drive with you form Salzburg to the area of Schwangau to see the palace of Linderhof, the village of Oberammergau and the palace of Neuschwanstein, that was used by Walt Disney as a basis of the famous "Disney castle".     We will drove from Salzburg over the Bavarian countryside to the area of Ettal to see the palace of Linderhof and then the village of Oberammergau to the area of Füssen to see the palace of Neuschwanstein, the Castle by King LudwigII, that was used by Walt Disney as the basis for the famous "Disney Castle".

    On the way to Neuschwanstein we will try to stop also at the church of Wies, a nice pilgrimage church with an outstanding baroque outlook.

Outstanding tour with Bernd. Today we saw so much and learned so much that we simply would have missed had we not had such a good attentive guide. Bernd was a true gentleman, taking his time with my elderly parents, making our trip fun, answering questions and making us laugh! I cannot recommend Bernd enough ... if you are going to Salzburg and wish to not only see The Eagles Nest, Salzburg etc. but understand the history of this region then this is a tour for you.

Bernd is an expert in all things Sound of Music, Hallstatt, Salzburg and Vienna! I did the Sound of Music and Hallstatt tour but I think he would have been an excellent guide on any tour of Austria. I enjoyed the in depth information he had-it was truly an insider's perspective. In Hallstatt-he showed me artifacts that many tourists rarely visited. He was very considerate, funny and the transportation was nice and comfortable! This was an amazing tour-well worth it. I highly recommend!
