A fantastic museum with enough to occupy all ages - the postal train ride was obviously the crowning glory. The ride was well curated, giving lots of information and was immersive (be cautious of flashing lights and long periods of darkness if you have children). Cute little gift shop, friendly staff and a cafe for all your refreshment needs. Good and clean facilities - baby changing, toilets etc.
The museum exhibition was excellent for value too, with a walk-around in the museum itself and then after you exit the postal ride. Lots of interaction for children

After finding the website a little difficult to negotiate, we decided to take a chance and go with our 2 year old granddaughter today.
We all had a great time!
The ‘Post and Play was fantastic - all the elements of the postal system in really easy ‘child- friendly’ activities. She loved the 2 Post Office counters and the little houses where she could post letters. It was SO interactive.
They offer another play area with nursery staff as well where you wait for the ‘Mail Train’.
We had a great day and didn’t even manage to get as far as the museum!
Next time!
This was the best activity session for under 5s ever.

Fun for adults and children. They have a lot of cool info on the history of the postal service in England. The best part about the museum is the Mail Rail. You get to go into a miniature train and travel the old mail tunnels under the city. That was the coolest part. There is also a timed entry play area for kids.
