The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority (TIBA) welcomes you to tour Boldt Castle to explore and experience an attraction like no other. Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years…

It was wonderful. There was a couple of knowledgeable folks there to ask questions. They had an app that you could learn more about the castle.

The Ultimate Experience is worth every penny. Don't miss climbing the Block Island Light. The view is great, and the guide gives an awesome history of the light.

Very well-organized tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, and shared many stories. Lunch was simple: sandwich, cookie and a drink, but definitely enough to keep everyone happy. I forgot to sign-up for lunch, and the company was nice enough to call me the day before, to make sure I had picked my favorites. It was the only tour, that let you get off the boat and explore Boldt Castle (which was amazing!!!) and Rock Island Lighthouse (which was super cute). The only complaint I have is that I wish we had 15 more minutes to walk around a huge Boldt Castle island, and 15 minutes less to walk around a very tiny Rock Island. Overall, an excellent tour!
