A highlight of your stay in Greece will be a visit to the famous Meteora Monasteries. Meteora is a geological miracle, which one should see for himself in order to believe. Stunning monasteries stay nestled upon steep cliffs, offering a breathtaking spectacle. Nowadays, only six monasteries are well preserved and four of them are still inhabited. We shall visit 2 of these fabulous monasteries, built high upon the steep rocks. Prepare to be amazed by the rich cultural heritage and amazing ecclesiastical artwork hidden within their walls. Each monastery owns a vast richness of frescoes and icons that will certainly amaze you. After exploring the monasteries, we will make our lunch break in Kalambaka before returning to your Halkidiki hotel.

A private tour of Meteora was the best part of Greece. Apostolos was my driver. Very punctual and friendly, and was very accommodating to my preferences. He made several stops and viewpoints, to have the most outstanding views of the monasteries, and he stopped at 2 monasteries so I could go inside.
