This budget group tour will show you the downtown and uptown scenery of Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region. You will understand it more deeply by visiting those famous tourist spots, such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, etc. Then will go to Shigatse, another mighty city in Tibet, where you can pay a visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the top four Gelug Monastery, to experience the different Tibetan Buddhism and culture.

  • We reserve the right to change the itinerary order and attractions in Lhasa;
  • If you prefer to book your own hotels over those included in our group tour, please meet the rest of the group at their daily hotel on time. We don’t include the transfers to your own hotels;
  • We need to pick up and drop off all members of the group on first & last day from Lhasa Airport/Railway, thus there may not always have guide presence but driver;
  • Due to the special nature of Tibet travel, any unforeseeable and unavoidable objective circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, riot, civil commotion, strikes, public health emergencies, government action, major traffic jams, delay or cancellation of flight/train, attractions temporarily closed. etc., resulting in a change of itinerary, the increased cost will be paid by travelers; if any attraction visits have to be canceled due to the same reasons above, we won't be held responsible for a refund except certain attraction entrance fee which will be solely decided by us.
  • Single Supplement: our quote is based on twin rooms. For single travelers, single supplement is required at the time of booking. If later we manage to match you with another traveler to share the twin rooms, the single supplement will be refunded.
This experience is non-refundable and cannot be changed for any reason. If you cancel or ask for an amendment, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

    I have arrived home safe and sound and wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASTIC time in Tibet, even though one of the ladies got ill. Darhyge was amazing, so knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring.I would definitely recommend him as a guide to anyone traveling to Tibet. Thank you for arranging this holiday for me, I really enjoyed visiting Potala Palace, Yamdrok Lake and learning about the different people and places that make up this huge country that I live in. Thank-you also for your kind gift on my birthday, it was really thoughtful. Have a wonderful day.

    a 6-day/5-night Lhasa Shigatse group tour with Great Tibet Tour in September 2019. There are three times group airport pickup and drop off included. It is about a 1-hour journey from the airport to the central city.   I stayed at the Shangbala Hotel in Lhasa. Many of the clients in the Shangbala Hotel were foreign. I enjoyed breakfast at the Shangbala Hotel. Every morning, my guide will meet us at the hotel hall around 9:30 am. So I can enjoy a good sleep.   The tour guide and driver were both Tibetan. They will talk about Tibetan history and their lifestyle with us. I felt relaxed during my trip. I will recommend this Tour to my friends and family who would like to travel to Tibet.

    I am back home now. Thank you for helping me achieve my dream. Tibet is an amazing place. I left my heart in Tibet. I will definitely travel to Tibet again to find my heart in the future. I am very pleased with the trip. On the way to Shigatse, we saw the real Yark and Tent beside the road. We go to visit the local people here to learn their real life. It really impressed me. Please convey my thank to my guide and driver. They did an excellent job.
