    Installe dans le quartier habité jadis par les candidats au départ, ce musée retrace l’histoire de l’émigration et les conditions de vie (installation, contrôles sanitaires…) des partants. Application téléchargeable en français. La muséographie mériterait d’être un peu plus interactive.

    It is hard to believe that a museum dealing with emigration to the US doesn't have english translations of their exhibit information. They were all exclusively in German. In addition, I kept losing my wifi connection which I needed for the English tour on my iphone, so I had to keep going back to the front desk to access the QR code.. This is the same information that can be accessed on their website at home. It was basically unrelated to the exhibits one is looking looking at. They have 3 computer terminals to access information on Ancestry.com. Luckily I had accessed my information from Ancestry at home but there was no one available at the museum who could answer my questions about the passenger lists I had already downloaded. The only staff that I saw at the museum was the front desk ticket taker and the gift shop and restaurant workers.
