Our mountain bike with knobbly tyres and a minimum of front suspension is recommended for riding the Timber Trail. At Timber Trail Shuttle & Bike Hire, you can now hire the right bike for the terrain, along with a helmet, spare tubes and other required gear. You have a choice of one of our 40 excellent Trek Roscoe Mountain Bikes or one of our 10 Trek Powerfly E-Bikes. Bringing your own bike, not a problem. Such an awesome slick set up. The best ebikes i have ridden on, friendly staff and knowledgeable drivers. Make sure you include a stay at the Timber Trail lodge - great rooms, food and facilities.

Timber Trail Transport were great. The pre-trip communication was good, the e-bikes hired excellent, the service was fantastic, and the information about the area and history on the shuttle rides was really interesting. Great service all round.

Timber trail shuttle and bike hire takes all the logistical issues out of an adventure into a remote region of NZ. Their service is top class. We had our own bikes but the quality of the hire bikes we saw were very good, well maintained and thoroughly serviced. The shuttle service is punctual and efficient and connects you effortlessly to both comfortable accommodation and the start of the track on Day one. They have it all covered so all you have to do is enjoy the wilderness. Timber trail is a Fantastic ride made easy by an efficient support service that does the problem solving for you. Just enjoy.
