Niagara Falls Day Tour from Toronto - 2A

I feel it is poor that Grayling still sell a tour including Boat Tour knowing that it does not operate in the Winter. So I paid for 3 of us and the first thing the guide says is there is no Boat. You can buy the behind the falls ticket at Niagara falls for $15 so no need to include that either in the ticket. Overall it was a rip off and I spent far more than I needed and they knew that when advertising the tours available.

The journey vas very impressive. Due to the winter the stop at Niagara on the Lake was cancelled, so we had more time at the Falls. The guide advertised a helicopter trip for additional price, but it was cancelled due to unclear sky. Nevertheless, the Falls were perfect. I was recommended by my relatives to take an evening tour to see the illumination, but a day time Falls are beautiful enough with their natural beauty. There is no ship excursion during winter time, but instead we had an exciting journey to the base of the Falls called "Journey Behind the Falls". This is a tour through artificial tunnel leading to the observation desk almost under the falls. There was a rainbow there and the view was perfect. Also during the free time after this excursion I visited the Skylon tower and the view from it was amazing. I recommend to include this tower to the tour.

Our hotel was not listed on the list of pickup points so I had to call the agency to get pickup instructions. She told us to go to the bus terminal on Bay Street to wait for the bus. It arrived on time - our bus driver was friendly and skilled. Tour guide was great. She was informative and friendly and we learned a bit about Toronto and Niagara Falls on the 1hour 40 mins bus journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, due to the poor weather (cloudy with chance of rainfall) the boat trip on the Hornblower was cancelled. however the falls was still beautiful by itself. The cancelled boat ride was replaced by the Journey Behind the Falls which basically is walking in the tunnels running in the walls behind the waterfalls. You see the falls up close and personal and the free poncho covers everything except for the face, the arms and the legs. I liked the experience but I would have preferred the boat ride of course. After the falls, we were driven to the Niagara by the lakes district. lovely quaint looking town great for pictures but not good for the wallets. The one hour was enough for me. I didn't buy anything but took alot of pics. After that, it was to the Ice wine distillery outlet where we got to sample one red and one white ice wine which was a good experience for me since I have never tasted ice wine before. All in all, I would say it was a good experience. Would I go again... not likely.
