    In the Flamingos Lagoon we will observe these peculiar birds in natural areas, then we will move to the giant tortoise breeding center and a small interpretation center of the Galapagos National Park. After lunch and a short break, we will go to the dock to take a boat to go on a tour to the Tintoreras islet.

    This is the Tintoreras Islet. Its name is due to the fact that here there is a volcanic lava crack that has formed a kind of channels that have become the favorite place of blue sharks (endemic species of the Galapagos Islands). In this crevice you can see hundreds of sharks in the water as well as iguanas and other species of the island.

I had booked this tour and the Sierra Negra tour through this agency for the day after. They told me they couldn't do this tour for this day because the water was rough. They offered me to switch the days of the tour. Ultimately for the Tintoreras tour, I decided to switch it for Los Tuneles instead and they made the process super simple! All I had to do was pay the difference! As for Los Tuneles, it was a great tour! Lots of wildlife there and the snorkeling was great too, got to see a cave filled with Punta Blanca sharks!

We booked this tour on December 27th. Received an immediate confirmation and paid through Pay Pal - also received immediate confirmation of payment. The ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabella is 2 hours so we got up for the 7 am ferry so we could make our 1 PM tour. We sent an email to the tour operator to see where to meet up. Crickets. Imagine my surprise to get a message on what's app that they didn't have room for us but could accommodate us on January 2nd. Seriously? Stay away from BM tours and Viator. They cost us a full day in Galapagos.

Die Tour geht etwas 3 Stunden und man fährt mit dem Wassertaxi vom Hafen aus in die Bucht. Hier habe ich meinen einigen Galapagospinguin gesehen, Der Führer ist nett und sehr informativ. Zunächst geht man an Land und erfährt was zu Seelöwen, Landtieren und Landschaft. Dann sieht mit man auch die Tintoreras-Haie im Wassergraben. Dann geht es zur Schnorcheltour bei der man Meeresschildkröten und viele Fische sieht. Zum Schluss schnorchelt man durch einen Wassergraben in dem sehr viele Tintorerashaie liegen. Absoluter Coolness-Faktor.
