Where is Pompeii? The world famous Pompeii is 150 miles south of Rome, fairly close to Naples. It is a long day from Rome or an easy excursion from Naples or the very popular holiday area around Sorrento. .With guide is an incredible experience. Pick up from Hotel/port/airport/train station trip proceeds to Pompeii- up to 2 hours to explore the ancient city drop off at destination. Not included Pompeii ticket , it is an extra cost of E18pp. Under 18 is free. FYI :for each traveler is allowed one trolley or medium luggage ,from 6ppl up to 8ppl if there are more luggage , it need the sprinter van or two standard van with an additional cost .     Pompeii, Italian Pompei, preserved ancient Roman city in Campania, Italy, 14 miles (23 km) southeast of Naples, at the southeastern base of Mount Vesuvius. It was built on a spur formed by a prehistoric lava flow to the north of the mouth of the Sarnus (modern Sarno) River. Pompeii was destroyed, together with Herculaneum, Stabiae, Torre Annunziata, and other communities, by the violent eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE. The circumstances of their destruction preserved their remains as a unique document of Greco-Roman life. Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Torre Annunziata were collectively designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Ticket is 19pp. If you are interested in a guided tour in Pompeii there is an extra cost of E120 up to 6ppl,E,140 up to 8ppl to be paid cash directly to the guide at the end of the tour.
