Another option is "Tronchetto" part of Venice (bus station), but this is paid additionaly in cash on the day of the travell

My drivers name was Grega Slevark. He was on time, moved my luggage into his sizable van and got me from Trieste to the Venice airport in less than two hours. Grega is exceptionally intelligent. He speaks several languages including English, Portuguese, Italian, Slovenian, German and more. He gave some history of Trieste as we left the city and then of Slovenia as well. We had a great conversation and then he let me sleep for a bit. He was very accommodating and he was very good at driving - so I really did fall asleep. I’ll definitely contact him the next time I’m in Trieste and need a driver.
