This guided day hike brings you closer or into the heart of most beautiful mountains of the area On each mountain there are a few available hiking routes for all levels from easy, medium to difficult hikes. Consider a min. of 4-5h for a day hike extendable to 8-10h choosing private departure on a longer route. Prior to departure, the guide will talk with you about every option and will make appropriate decision for the route to follow Piatra Craiului National Park - the host of our guaranteed departure day hike. Route starts near Zarnesti and takes hikers into the heart of the mountain, giving time for a refreshing tea (soup) at the mountain hut at 1400m. alt. The return path can have an extension hike to reach one peak with great panoramic views. As Piatra Craiului is the mountain with the most challenging marked trails of Romania, there are several alternative unforgettable routes for day hikes available for the private tour, taking you to the highest peak or along the main ridge.

Radu was such a gem. He was very knowledgeable and he knew exactly what we were looking for. We said we were looking for a medium hike for 5-6 hours and he did just that. The hike in the canyon was so good! He also gave us lots of information around nature and survival skills. He has great respect to nature and I deeply appreciate that. Definitely will find him when I visit Romania again!

Great day walk with Tudor as our guide. He's a climber and qualified guide, and provided a beautiful autumn walk, tailored to suit an over 70s and a 30 something, and taking us on a circular route we would not have found on our own. He guided me round a few metres of exposed path which I would never have managed without his help, and came well prepared for bears, so that we felt absolutely safe at all times. Tudor is also lovely company, happy to share a wealth of information about the national park and its wildlife, Transylvania and Brasov. Highly recommended.

We did the medium private day tour. Our guide Tudor was excellent. Chose a great walk that gave us wildlife and scenery. He knew lots of information about the area and we had some great discussions on nature, history and local life. He also helped us understand the history of the country and area and then did a detour on the way back to drop us at a historic fortified village so we had a great walk and a fascinating historical experience. Great day. I’d happily recommend this to anyone.
