Travel at a relaxed pace along the scenic north coast of Trinidad, making several stops for bathing and admiring the views, on this 8-hour guided tour from port of Spain. Soak up panoramic views of the ocean; stop for a photo opportunity at the Maracas Lookout, and swim in Las Cuevas and Maracas.

We pick up at hotels in Port of Spain and environs. Any pick-up outside of Port of Spain requires an additional cost.

  • Maracas Beach, Port of Spain, Caribbean
    Travel up to the scenic north coast road to admire the view of the Paramin hills to the west with their plantations of herbs and spices. A short stop at the Maracas Lookout gives you the opportunity for some pictures of the surrounding bays. Try a variety of local snacks from the vendors and you maybe even be able to hear a little improvised Calypso music. Make your way to the popular Maracas Beach, lined with coconut trees. Here you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool Caribbean waters. Taste the world famous Bake and Shark Sandwich!

  • Las Cuevas Beach, Caribbean
    Picture perfect! Here at this mile-long beach surrounded by lush, green rainforest-covered mountains, free of high-rise hotels and practically untouched by tourism, you can kick back and take in the picturesque views. We can enjoy a relaxing swim or just float around in the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea.

  • Blanchisseuse Beach, Blanchisseuse, Caribbean
    Feel the sand between your toes as you walk along its sandy shores. Make your way to the Marianne River’s beautiful and natural lagoon. Here we savour a refreshing river bath before taking the same route back. Your tour concludes with a drop-off back in Port of Spain at around 5pm.

The title says it all. Island Experiences took me on an afternoon beach tour of Maracas Beach, Las Cuevas, and Blanchisseuse. I decided to go in the last minute but the tour had already begun. Fortunately, the team at Island Experiences were more than accommodating. They helped me to secure a ride to Maracas where I met with the tour guide Stefan and from there it was easy and breezy. Relaxing on the beach at Las Cuevas was really a treat...the water was calm that day and it wasn't too cold. Next, we headed off to Blanchisseuse which might be one of the most picturesque places I've ever been to in my life. There was also a small area where the ocean met the river and you could see different wildlife that survived in a small brackish(when salt and fresh water mix) pond. I'd recommend Island Experiences for any planned excursion in Trinidad and Tobago. They're more than welcoming and by the end of the day, you'll feel part of the family.

Jenelle and Dareem made this tour a blast! Not only were they great tour guides, but they treated us as friends. The sights themselves were gorgeous and we had a great time at all of the beaches! We would highly recommend this trip to our friends and if you like a day of beautiful drives, relaxation, and delicious food. Thanks so much!
