We unfortunately did not see the Northern Lights as the weather was overcast and cloudy over a vast region the night we booked this private tour. The highlight was our guide who is an Astrophysicist and who studies the Northern Lights so we learned a ton about how the lights actually come to be. He drove us to a multitude of places including the Finnish border in hope of finding clear sky somewhere and did have apps that showed there was aurora activity but we were unable to see it. One cannot control the weather. Loved the guide and would try this again on a future trip.
