Enjoy an amazing truffle hunting with a professional "Trifolao" and his trained dog near Monforte d' Alba. Breathe pure air in a gorgeous wood and enjoy the intense truffle scent. Meet the hunter and his dogs, who are specially trained to sniff out truffles, you’ll have a good chance of tracking down the elusive fungi. Along the way, learn more about truffles and why they are so rare, and pick up expert tips on how to find them. During the Hunting you will take a brake for a cheese tasting with black truffle scratched on top, the experience ends with a wine tasting.

    All tours begin in Monforte d'Alba, where you'll meet your guide. You'll need your own transportation to follow the guide on a 10-minute drive to the forest area and later to the Enoteca. (A transfer service from Monforte is available upon request for an additional fee, with limited spots.) The experience starts with an introduction to truffles, covering their types, growth, and where they can be found. Upon reaching the forest, you'll meet the truffle hunter and his specially trained dogs before starting the hunt. Please note that any truffles found during the hunt are not included in the price. The walk takes place in a wooded area, so comfortable, outdoor-appropriate clothing is recommended, especially during the colder months. If needed, rubber boots will be provided. After the hunt, you can relax and enjoy a wine tasting at a local Enoteca.

We loved the truffle hunting. We did hike through the forest but it wasn't too strenuous or dirty (for those afraid of being outdoors without sidewalks). We are in fairly good shape. The English guide (Franchesa) was very informative and answered all our questions. The gentlemen and his dogs were pretty amazing to watch. It was about one hour or so in the woods, then up to a winery nearby for a wine tasting. It was a beautiful winery but it has one employee (the winemaker) and he was not as informative. You had about an hour at the winery touring and tasting four wines. Be sure to read the fine print. You must provide your own transportation as you follow the guide in her car to the two places.

I really love the experience. The host is a lovely person and you will lear averything you want about the trouffles. It was one of my best experiences in Italy.

Contratamos desde Turín , no se nos advirtió que teníamos que viajar 70 km. A un lugar donde no llega el tren ni colectivos , en camino arriba de un taxi nos dicen que no confirmamos con anticipación, cuando nos llegó el ok por mail, al llegar la guía nos pregunta si tenemos auto , de favor nos llevo en el Suyo. La guía y la excursión muy buena , la organización, no.
