The tour cost 700 mxn pesos per person around 85 USD. However, it was worth the money. There were only 4 people in the group with the private tour guide. Snorkeling under the caves is not possible without a private tour guide . The cave does have parts where there are stalagmites hanging and it’s dangerous to go through without a guide. Before starting the guide let us tried the snorkel equipment first in the first eye then we moved to the second eye to snorkel then we went through the bat cave. I think the guided snorkeling only lasted an hour. After the snorkeling session was over, & I changed to dry clothes & I was allowed to walk into the drive cave in the second eye to observe birds. Overall this was a pleasant experience. Recommendation is to get to the place early when they are just opening which is around 9:00am to maximize the time there. They provide the snorkeling equipment and neoprene body suits however I would suggest to buy your own snorkeling equipment & vest if the plan is to visit more than one cenote . It’s better to go to the cenotes by renting a car, bike or motorcycle instead of booking with the tour companies. Lastly, I liked that this place also has 2 restaurants to get food and closes at around 5:00 pm. There are vendors there as well , but will not recommend because they are pricey.
