The small village of Kemaliye (historically called Egin) is located in the Munzur Mountains in the province of Erzincan. This village is not to be missed! The views of the Euphrates River rushing through the famous Dark Canyon are unforgettable. Come discover it for yourself! This tour includes transfers to/from Erzincan, a tour of Kemaliye city center, a visit to Lokhane dessert house, Sirzi Armenian Church, the local cultural center, Kirkgoz breakfast at the Overlook, a Dark Canyon Jeep Tour, a Euphrates Boat Tour, and an optional zip line over the Euphrates River.

Just finished a tour, and it was a really fun time. Overall a great experience, and I recommend it for those who are seeking a relaxing time to view a great small town. The people were extremely hospitable and made the town a memory I won’t forget.

It was quite the adventure and experience to see the scenic views and participate in the attractions Kemaliye has to offer. Some of the highlights include the beautiful overlooks of the Euphrates river and the town of Kemaliye, the boat ride through the river, the adventurous driving around the mountains, and touring some of the historic buildings. Could have been improved if there was more of a planned itinerary for the trip.

Kemaliye was a beautiful town that immerses you with majestic views of the mountains, canyon walls, and Euphrates River with the historic Silk Road painted in the backdrop! Because it is a small town hidden away from the business of city life, I left feeling like I had a more authentic taste of Turkish culture. The guides and translator did a remarkable job, loving to laugh and make sure all of our needs were taken care of while providing us with an in-depth knowledge of the town and its history. I can promise you one thing: you will not go hungry on this trip! Prepare to feast on delicious foods, whether it be cold watermelon or homemade jams or large spreads for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
