Wonderful day bike riding in Florence & the hills of Chianti. Grace (tour guide) was very accommodating & informative at every turn. Lovely winery tour, tasting and lunch. Highly recommend!

If we could give this tour a zero rating we would. Be very careful about booking this tour. On arrival you will be told to pay an additional €20 each for insurance or let them pre-authorise €300 per bike(€1500 in our case) on your card. We were a party of 5 that had already paid £666. To be given this extra expense felt like we were being ripped off, especially when you'd little choice as it was too late to cancel. We'd done a similar, amazing tour, with a different company in Naples, that was half the price so was not expecting these additions. Be wary and perhaps avoid, there is better out there. It’s called a guided tour, that’s not really what you get, you’re just following along on busy roads. ‘Guides’ were nice people but I would not say they were what you’d expect from a ‘professional tour guide’. Like I said we’d paid for an e-bike tour in Naples, the guide really managed the tour, commanded the roads and gave us so much information about Naples, it’s like chalk and cheese. You’re told you pay for and get - a guided tour of a terracotta factory, on Sundays it’s closed, you still pay the same price as any other day though! You get to stand outside the factory and admire the view at least! - a guided tour of an olive oil mill and tasting. We did receive olive oil tasting, but no guided tour or mill was included. - a guided tour of two Chianti region wineries. We visited one, which we must say was very good, but that’s totally due to the winery not the tour. Not sure what happened to the second winery or whether they say it’s two as you visit the old and ‘new’ processing areas. It wasn’t explained, but then nothing was! The e-bikes were ok, though our daughters wheel was not secured, luckily we noticed before we started riding too far on the busy roads! We were not told how to use the e-bikes effectively, luckily for us we’d had a great tour previously so we had received a thorough explanation from them about how to use them properly. Over all, it’s definitely over priced and I would advise anybody thinking of taking this tour to avoid it. You’ll feel upset you booked it and you’ll feel ripped off by the addition of the unmentioned insurance. Get a taxi or bus and take yourself to a winery, you will enjoy it more - guaranteed.
