Harvest has always been seen as a time of celebration in the countryside: the hard work, the cultivating sacrifices, all those efforts are finally paid off with the growth of grape and the exciting time of wine making. Mechanization was still awaiting to happen, harvest was carried out by whole families, pressing grape with their very feet inside huge wooden vats with great result, as a delicate pressing done with feet does not stress grapes. This tour is highly recommended for those who want to try a unique experience, while capturing the real essence of living as Tuscan families from the countryside. A visit to a winery with wine tasting is included; depending on the season guests can pick grapes or simply press grapes previously provided by us. Discover these amazing ancient traditions and get a genuine product of quality.

In this authentic family farm, Silvia (the owner) will prepare for you an exquisite lunch while your guide will show you the farm. You will learn the history of the cellar that date back to the 1825 and how they make wine, extra virgin olive oil and honey. During lunch you will taste 4 wines, grappa and their amazing production of extra virgin olive oil all pared with home made pasta, bruschettas, cold cuts and last but not least home made biscotti.

Lots of fun. Our guide, Phillipo, was super flexible matching the tour to our likes and needs. Grape stomping was fun, but the meal was excellent and prepared in a rustic environment.

This tour was a surprise from my husband on our honeymoon and absolutely could not have been better! Chiare was so knowledgeable, sweet, and fun and truly made this an experience of a lifetime for us! We traveled to Castellina in the Greve in Chianti and then to La Piaggia to experience half a day of touring the 100 year old grounds, grape stomping, lunch, and wine tasting. If you are in the Chianti region and looking for the best tour (and guide), this is where you need to book! Thank you Chiare! Absolutely amazing! Saluti!
