Want to visit the Cinque Terre but have limited mobility or stamina? With our private Easy Cinque Terre excursion you can! Plus: KIDS 12 AND UNDER TOUR FOR FREE! Our courteous and knowledgeable driver will pick you up right at the ship. We will visit Portovenere, Vernazza and Corniglia -- three of the most beautiful and indicative places in the Cinque Terre area. We've selected them because they're quite flat, so they're manageable even for those who use mobility aids. Taking the ferry to travel from Portovenere to Vernazza is an option (extra cost). You must be steady on your feet to board; the gangway is narrow and sometimes unstable. IMPORTANT NOTES: In Italy drivers can share information while you are in the vehicle but are NOT permitted to go with you once leave the vehicle. Local licensed guides who can accompany you on foot are available for additional cost. This itinerary is NOT customizable.

    The history of Portovenere is long and interesting, dating back to the 1st Century BC, but most folks simply enjoy it for its charm. The main attractions are the imposing 13th Century church of St. Peter with its striking black and white stripes, and the colorful row houses along the marina that make one think of Portofino. Literature lovers will remember that Lord Byron swam across the gulf of La Spezia from the grotto now named after him to visit Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1822. Portovenere has evolved from fishing community during Roman times to base of the Byzantine fleet after the fall of the Western Roman Empire to gateway to Cinque Terre today: a living picture postcard of lush green terrain set against the brilliant blue sea.

  • Vernazza, Vernazza, Italy
    Vernazza is perhaps the most popular of the Cinque Terre villages. The marina area is very lively, with lots of terraces where you can enjoy a refreshment or snack. You will likely be in Vernazza at lunch time (depends on pickup time), and there are many good restaurants featuring seafood and the excellent local white wine. The main street in Vernazza is a great place to shop or pause for some gelato (ice cream). For architectural points of interest there's Castello Doria, Vernazza's medieval fortification. Climb the Belvedere Tower for amazing views (small entry fee). Th church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia is also worth a visit: simple but very lovely.

  • Corniglia, Corniglia, Italy
    Of all the Cinque Terre villages, Corniglia has best maintained its Medieval aspect. It's the only village that sits high on the cliffs, not reachable by ferry. The narrow streets are pleasant to stroll, and some good gelato (ice cream) can be found in Corniglia. There are some lovely churches, but the best spot in the village in the public terrace with panoramic views up and down the coast.

  • The Easy Cinque itinerary is NOT customizable. The villages to be visited are Portovenere, Vernazza, and Corniglia. Kindly do not ask to subsitute or add villages.
  • We reserve the right to substitute a different service in the interest of clients' safety. This could be due to severe weather conditions or warnings, or if, in your driver's opinion, your level of mobility is so limited that carrying out the Easy Cinque Terre program might cause you detrimental fatigue or compromise your wellbeing.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Cinque Terra é muito bonita e vale a pena conhecer essas 5 cidades. Pena que contratamos um guia em espanhol/português e nos enviaram somente uma motorista que só falava italiano. Lamentável.

As usual Roberto was a fabulous guide!! I have used Papillon on over six other tours in Italy and he always delivers or his compatriot does. We booked this entire cruise just so that we could finally see the Cinque Terre and see it we did. We never could have figured out which ferries to take what time to catch each etc without Roberto's excellent help. He had it all laid out like clockwork and we stayed to the schedule and finally got to see the Cinque Terre. The only thing he could have done better would to have had fewer tourists in each port!! We used Papillon Tours for two in Italy and two in France this time and all were excellent. They know the area and what are the interesting places and can adapt the tours to your schedule.
