The experience always includes an introduction to wine tasting, the history of the territory and the wineries. 5 wines accompanied by bread, cheeses and locally produced oil. These are wines selected from small producers, mainly with organic certification We can organize the tasting directly at your home or at the hotel where you are on vacation, even in the center of Lucca. I'll take care of everything and you won't have to think about anything! I will set the table with tasting tablecloths and serve you the wines in professional glasses! At the end of the tasting I will leave the bottles uncorked (if not finished :) in order to enjoy them during the holiday. I am a sommelier from Lucca with many years of experience, winner of some important competitions, 3rd place in the Best Sommelier of Italy 2018 and owner of the Uvaggio online wine shop. I work as a wine consultant, educator and write about wine on the homonymous blog Wineafterwine.

We are a group of Americans who rented a villa near Lucca. Simone came to our villa one evening and presented a wine tasting “The wines of the province of Lucca”. He came early to set everything up, bringing glassware for each of our 5 generous tastings. He began with some information about olive oil and offers cheese, bread and olive oil as snacks to enjoy during the tasting. Simone is most knowledgeable about these local wines and enjoys sharing in his excellent English. We began with a sparkling, moved to a white wine, next a rose, followed by 2 reds. All quite good. At the conclusion of our tasting Simone offered bottles for sale which we found to be at a very reasonable cost. We loved the ease of wine tasting at “home” without having to drive a distance to a winery. Highly recommend. Excellent communication, easy going yet professional presentation. Great value. Thank you!

We had a brilliant private wine tasting with Simone at our Villa, just outside Lucca. Simone brought 5 wines which were all excellent and ones none of us had tried before and we ended up buying a few of each. Simone was extremely knowledgeable and the tasting was really interesting and great fun. I would really recommend a tasting with Simone if you want to try some different local wines.

Simone was VERY knowledgeable and accommodating. We appreciated the fact that he comes to your location, he brings a variety of wines, olive oil, and different cheeses & brea. We all had a wonderful time!!
