    In the afternoon, visit one of the biggest and proudest of the Tuscan hill towns, Montepulciano. This town was first under the dominance of medieval Siena and then became an ally to renaissance Florence: here you can recognize the influences of both Republics in its architecture and art. Located on a steep hill, you can look over the ledge at the the Tuscany - Umbrian border.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Everything was memorable due to our fantastic local guide. Particularly loved Pienza and the organic farm visit which included a delicious lunch.

It was wonderful tour! Weather wasn’t the best, but Julianna was a great and warm host! Food and wine was excellent
