We really enjoyed this rafting experience. It wasn't super wild, I think kids 8 and above would be fine. The guides are friendly and everyone seems to be having a good time.
When you arrive there are free lockers and after you can take showers, so bring a change of clothes. During the rafting we stopped and had drinks and snacks, supporting the locals is a must and order your guide a beer or two :)
When you arrive you get your life jacket, helmet, and if you want women by the street are selling water proof cases. These are great as you can take photos of yourself in the waterfall.
You do have to walk down about 400 stairs and they can be slippery. Just go slow and you should be okay. You ride in the back of a truck to the drop off poi twherethe stairs are. After rafting you dock and go up stairs but not near as many as you used to go down and you are at the place of arrival. We left at 10 and got back about 12, then ate and were ready to leave about 12:30. The kids had a great time, we've done many tourist type activities and this was a favorite. The river keeps you nice and cool.
