It is 176Kms North of Kampala off Kampala – Gulu . This Project was founded by the Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority with the aim of re-introducing Black and White Rhinos in Uganda’s National Parks. This sanctuary was established to breed black and white rhinos and restore their populations in Uganda’s protected areas at a later stage

This company made this a wonderful and easy day! Ronnie was my guide/driver and he was great. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable, plus a very safe driver. It was so great to get close to these amazing animals. Ruth was very communicative and answered every question I had promptly. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

Netter und pünktlicher Fahrer hat mich abgeholt. Dort in kleiner Gruppe von einem segr kompetenten und freundlichem Guide Einführung bekommen und nach einem recht kurzen Spaziergang konnten wir tasächlich auch Nashorn- Familien stoßen, die in faszinierend kurzem Abstand von uns gebadet und gefressen haben , wir konnten sogar das Nashorn- Baby piepsen hören, weil es Hunger hatte und dann beim Säugen beobachten! Obwohl wir so nah waren, fühlte ich mich jede Sekunde sicher durch unseren achtsamen Guide. wirklich sehr sehr beeindruckend und unterstützenswert!! Einzig das Mittagessen hatte ich mir etwas anders vorgestellt: Nach Wieder - Zurückkunft beim Auto hatte es der Fahrer von East African Jungle safaris sehr eilig, das Gelände zu verlassen. Mittaggegessen wurde dann nicht dort, sondern unterwegs in einem Local an der Strasse, wo er wohl die Besitzer kannte. Insgesamt aber eine unbedingt empfehlenswerte Tagesreise!

This place was really fantastic. You go out in the park by vehicle with trained rangers who then have you trek with them on foot to see the rhinos. We were within 50 yds of several of these animals and just watched them walking and eating. Hard to imagine you could do this kind of thing.
