Only a 30-minute boat ride away from busy Kampala lies a magical place without traffic, fumes and hustler’s hassle. The area offers some of Uganda’s best mountain bike trails which will lead you through lovely villages and beautiful nature. There are some nice climbs and the track will contain a mix of wide gravel fire roads and single tracks. Experience encounters with the friendly locals and discover the real Uganda. The ride is around 20km long, goes at an easy pace and is suitable for beginners. Our guides know the area very well and can adjust the route according to your skill and fitness level. On the way we will stop for some delicious Ugandan snacks before we will settle down for drinks on the beach of Lake Victoria at our final destination.

    We will be cycling wonderful trails in Mukono, which is on the other side of Lake Victoria. You will pass through tiny villages and green jungle.

    In order to reach the starting point we will cross Lake Victoria by boat. It’s a wonderful and peaceful ride on Africa’s largest lake.

Last minute booking? No problem! The team accommodated my request super fast. Everything was punctual and that was immensely helpful as I had a tight schedule. James was an amazing guide! The ride was a proper workout, but the scenery will most definitely reward you!

Gisteren hebben we een prachtige mountainbiketocht gedaan. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! Vertel vooral van tevoren of je al ervaring hebt etc en dan passen ze de route aan. De omgeving was heel mooi, de gids was vriendelijk en het was allemaal top geregeld! Een aanrader!

We really recommend this cycling tour. We had a great guide James. First we took a boat to teh island and started. It was sometimes hard cycle but with those very good bikes we managed. I really recommend this tour away from the busy Kampala and to teh nature and the local people. GO FOR IT
