The Rwenzori mountains, natively known as the 'Mountains of the moon' are situated in the Western Uganda along the Uganda – Congo boarder. The Rwenzori is a universally acknowledged hiking and mountaineering destination. The skilled climbers’ hike leads to Margherita summit – the highest peak in the range. The 9 days mountain Rwenzori trekking safari takes you to Uganda’s highest mountain range famous for its permanently snow-capped peaks. You will have to ascend to Margherita summit – the highest peak in the range and the third highest in Africa. The ranges found in Rwenzori Mountains National Park, a habitat to over 70 mammals, 217 bird species, including 19 Albertine rift endemics, as well as some of the world’s rarest vegetation. Besides the strenuous hike, there are a series of other adventures to engage in while on this mountain Rwenzori trekking safari such as visiting the neighboring Bakonzo villages for nature walks and encounters with the local people.

We just conlcuded our 9 Days Uganda safari with TravelMonke Tours and Travel. Our guide George was kind, friendly and highly knowledgable through our visit to Murchison falls, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi for the Gorillas.
