  • Five Star Whale Watching, Victoria, Canada
    Check-in procedures will follow at our office meeting location. Afterwards, the vessel departs from a nearby dock. The route reflects recent wildlife activity, and your experienced marine guide/ Captain will steer for the best places to see animals! During the 3 hour Ultimate Marine Whale and Wildlife Tour, we will travel through the waters of the Salish Sea in search of various whales & other marine life. The Salish Sea includes the local waters around Southern Vancouver Island and is a rich marine environment that attracts multiple species of whales and other marine life! Keep your camera ready, watching for orcas (killer whales), humpback whales, minke whales, gray whales, dolphins as well as both Dall’s porpoises and harbor porpoises. Harbour seals, Steller sea lions and California sea lions can be seen off Vancouver Island, and more than 127 species of marine birds can also be seen in the region.

5 Star Whaling gets our 5 stars. We had 2 brilliant trips and had all the luck with sightings. On both trips we saw Orca and Humpbacks. The team were brilliant from start to finish, comms were great (weather issues stopped our original booking going out on water) but it was soon rearranged. The on boat experience and guides (Sophie and Alexa) and not forgetting the owner and boat captain Andrew were very knowledgeable and personable. Free tips for 1st time whale watchers, you are at the mercy of the weather and trips often get moved or cancelled, therefore make your schedule as flexible as possible if you are desperate to get out on the water. We were lucky with our sightings, but the sea is huge and you are looking for a small number of mammals who like to live under the water, therefore any sightings is a blessing. Make friends with the crew, they do this for a living and will guide and advise you so you get the very best experience!!! Enjoy

We ended up not taking this cruise because of ADA issues but they were able to call a competitor and get us on a bigger boat that could accommodate an ADA person. They did all of the leg work so it was easy peasy to make the transition. They were no extra fees and the new company, Orcas Spirit Adventures were great to help get my sister on and off the boat, as well as other passengers came to our aid. We saw a lot of whales, sea lions and birds to make our adventure awesome.

We had an amazing afternoon with you! The respect for whales, knowledge and information was so great. It was a very active day for the humpback lunch feeding and we saw everything up close . The crew was amazing, so helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
