This self guided tour turned out to a great addition to our visit to Kauai! We sat in the comfort of our rental car and turned on the audio tour to explore the island. It was great to have a downloaded tour that followed us by satellite because some areas did not have phone signal. We were able to do it at our own pace and time frame. We leaned interesting facts and the kids enjoyed it as well. Just get one per family!

This was a great way to see parts of the island we wouldn't have known about otherwise. I recommend following the detours to really see the things that are out of the way. If you are really pressed for time, you can look over the points of interest and decide which ones you have time for before heading out. We stopped and got out of the car at most points to take pictures. We stayed on Kauai for three nights with only one thing firmly planned during our stay, so this was a tour we were grateful for. I wouldn't recommend using this guide without someone with to monitor the map as some of the directions were stated too late for someone who isn't able to keep monitoring the map. For example, at one point the directions were to take a slight when it was actually more of a straight forward action because there were three ways we could have gone at that juncture.
