Brilliant itinerary visiting stunning places that ought to be on everyone's bucket list. Our guide, Lawton, was exceptional. And a really good human being to top it off. Don't hesitate to book this tour. You'll be busy, but so thankful.

As a general rule, I don’t like organized group tours of any type, to any destination. But I deferred to my good friend Carman, as she tends to gravitate toward them for many of her own personal reasons, and she really wanted to do this one to Yosemite National Park with Incredible Adventures.
Well, bust my buttons, the experience was SO good, on SO many levels (for myself, not just for Carman), that upon our arrival home, i walked away on the sidewalks of San Francisco in utter disbelief. I thought about the (only 3-day) trip for hours that night, and again for many hours the next two days while walking around Frisco (????to Lawton) , and it was abundantly clear to me that the primary reason I was so filled with satisfaction was not the scenery of Yosemite (though naturally that factored in), nor was it the exceptional personalities and international diversity of our group of eight beautiful people representing 6 different countries; What was far-and-away the most fulfilling thing for me was the kindness, efficiency, effectiveness and INFORMATIVENESS of our guide, Lawton, a team of ONLY ONE !
Lawton has excellent people sense, and he’s big on empathy. He’s clearly culturally competent, but if there’s a nuance or cultural idiosyncrasy he doesn’t quite know or recognize, he shuts up, observes, listens closely and learns about the other person’s experience until he’s got it down. And then he remembers.
My friend Carman and I talked a long while about Lawton over dinner at Caesar’s Restaurant in SF, and we agreed on everything about how exceptionally he does his job. What stood out for Carman was how he individualized everybody, and genuinely cared about everyone individually. She felt like he cared about her first, not the group first, though she was aware the group was the priority.
What stood out for me, in addition to all of the above, was how he, at once, performed his job so professionally / seriously , and yet with such casualness and matter-of-fact ease, never ever showing (feeling?) impatience, and ALWAYS demonstrating respect and kindness. It was marvelous to merely watch him do his job (when i wasn’t watching agape a 740 meter waterfall or close-up vistas of the Sierra Nevada).
If you decide to go with a group tour to explore Yosemite, or any other place, i would go as far to say you’re gonna have one of the best times in your life if you have Lawton as your guide. And if Incredible Adventures is THAT good at consistently hiring competent guides even slightly comparable to Lawton, then Incredible Adventures is the company you’ll want to go with.
