Smart and striking conversion of a Victorian chapel. Lots of mod cons (induction hob, digital heating, vast TVs), clean and with some lovely touches - the games cabinet was a big hit.
Situated in the centre of this small but well equipped dales town it was an excellent base for family reunion, having the space and equipment to cater for all.
The main quibble was noise - the chapel has been divided into two, so effectively the property is a semi-detached house. While an effort has been made with sound proofing, if next door decide to have a late one (as ours did) you can hear the whoops and hollers. The saving grace was the bedrooms are set away from the dividing wall, so sleep was possible.
Also the internal layout - a mezzanine living room with an open walkway, may give parents of younger kids cause for concern and it also meant the two whopping TVs (one up and one down) could not be watched without one disturbing the other.
