This Alcatraz package includes admission to the Alcatraz Island and prison Cellhouse, round-trip ferry rides to the Island, and the 45-minutes award-winning audio tour. It also includes a Hop on Hop off open top bus tour for the ultimate San Francisco experience. The Alcatraz tour ticket is very popular and it is recommended that you book in advance online to secure your Alcatraz tour spot. You can stay on Alcatraz Island as long as you like, but allow at least 3 hours for cruising to the Island, taking the Cellhouse audio tour, exploring the rest of the Island and its historic exhibits and returning via ferry to Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing.     Perfect tour for a short visit. We got to see so much in one day. My kids liked the bus tour and we took the morning ride to Alcatraz so we had the whole day ahead of us.

    Highly recommend. Was very interesting and detailed. There's so much more history to this island than just a prison. Recommend you go straight to the top to the audio tour entrance and then work your way down. That wasn't made clear to us, and this tour is self guided, so a lot of what you learn is from the headphones.

    I wish I could rate these separately. Tour of Alcatraz 5 stars, audio tour made it well worth it. Hop on off bus tour was a flop, anything famous that you might want to see was a few blocks down and to the right or left but never something that we drove past. The hop on off tour was a waste of time.
