If you like history and want to know how Myrtle Beach was in the beginning and specifically during the years of the second world war, this trolley tour may interest you. It shares the city's origin story and tells what it was like to live there during WWII with U-boat threats off the coast and the arrival of German POWs. It makes stops at Myrtle Beach's first golf course, Pine Lakes International Country Club, and the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum. Guests gather in front of the Grand 14 Theater at The Market Common to begin boarding at 9:45 AM. The trolley is enclosed and climate-controlled. If you would like more of an introduction to the city's history, you may enjoy the Myrtle Beach History, Movies and Music trolley tour. Both tours were created to compliment each other in order to give guests a more comprehensive look at Myrtle Beach's past. GUESTS MUST BE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OLD FOR THIS TOUR. A diamond in the rough tour! We’ve gone to Myrtle Beach for years and never knew the history of this wonderful place! Touring the area we know, with fresh eyes on its history was awesome! Kathryn our tour guide was so invested in the area history and did a phenomenal job welcoming visitors and guiding us through the creation of Myrtle Beach! Highly recommend this tour!

Excellent overview of the history in Myrtle Beach. The tour was well organized, and our guide was very informative. We especially enjoyed hearing about how Myrtle Beach was developed and the key role it played in world war 2. Highly recommend!
