Wow - where to start?! I've wanted to see the Grand Canyon since I was a kid in the 70s and The Brady Bunch drove their wood-paneled station wagon out to Arizona. And last week, I finally made it happen! My son and I booked a South Rim tour with Angel's Gate Tours and had an absolutely phenomenal time. Our guide - Rasa - was a walking encyclopedia of Grand Canyon knowledge - he knew the history, the culture, the geology, plants and animals, etc. In addition he was a great conversationalist with a cute sense of humor. The whole day was packed full.
But be prepared - seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time is an emotional experience. I shed some tears because I was so overwhelmed by its majesty and splendor (...that may sounds corny, but it's true). It was a beautiful and perfect day, which I will always remember. Thank you, Rasa!
