Introduction to Glassblowing Workshop in Sedona

What a unique learning experience! I took my 7 year old granddaughter to the shop early to "check it out"! It's a world of color and talent. She was taking it all in, however, was hesitate to participate. It was the beautiful pieces by the amazing artists that can visualize and then make them come to fruition. The counter artist upon entering must have sensed her hesitation and invited her to select the glass piece that she would like to have. The flower was chosen and the artist assisting us was named Greg! Greg was the best with her. They picked the color combo and the leaning adventure began. Safety was the utmost importance with Greg and my granddaughter obliged willingly. Thus the flower was finished! Thinking that it was now my turn...I was thinking of my color combo I was going to us. However, that changed when she sweetly asked if she could do it again, with a pouty lower lip! Honey you just made three. WE both loved the afternoon and purchased a lot of glass artistry from a various artists. GREAT activity for kids! GREAT activity for adults! I highly recommend the Melting Pot for an adult!

My partner and I booked a glass making class and we greatly enjoyed the experience. I made a cup, and he made a cactus. Alexa, our teacher, was friendly, helpful, and entertaining, and she made the unique experience truly exceptional. A quick FYI: the amount you pay for the experience is a down payment on the project that you choose to create. In our case, each $100 ticket covered a glass flower, and I went into it thinking I would have to make a flower, but you can choose to make a larger or more complex piece when you arrive, you’ll just need to pay the difference in price. We loved the cactus in particular, which cost maybe an extra $100 or so, but was worth it.

Great way to get a memorable souvenir from Sedona! Completing my own project was neat but seeing the techniques used in other projects was also fascinating! Instructor was great!
