Each year approximately 20,000 gray whales migrate from the Bering Sea to the lagoons of Baja California and back again. Come witness this amazing journey off the coast of San Diego on this educational whale watching excursion.

  • Chances of spotting a whale are exactly the same, whether you choose the morning or afternoon departure. Whales don't wear watches.
  • Same goes for the days of the week. Each day has an equal chance of sightings. Whales do not have calendars.
  • In the unlikely event that your departure is cancelled due to poor weather conditions, we do our best to contact you in the morning at the phone number you provide. We will reschedule your tour for another day if you like or provide you with a full refund—your choice.
  • Guests with wheelchairs can access the vessel and interior main deck. However, the exterior top deck and the restrooms are not ramp accessible.
  • No touching the whales. No feeding the whales. No petting the whales. This is whale watching. We watch with our eyes.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Went whale watching for the first time yesterday. My husband and I had a blast! It was about 3.5 hours long but saw a whale for brief moments. Definitely worth the experience!! The crew was great too. We didn’t know if we’d get motion sickness but took Dramamine about an hour before the trip and did great. Better safe than sorry.

Nice trip and reasonably priced. We went in the afternoon. We saw 2 whales and dolphins. One of the whales was in the harbor. It was windy and the boat despite being relatively large (Marietta) was shacking a lot due to windy day. I had severe seasickness which unusual for me and ended up vomiting ( there are bags onboard for that). Despite that and spending half of the trip lying down, I can say I enjoyed the trip. Make sure to take some Dramamine for the trip or you can purchase some onboard. I had some but likely did not work. The trip took less than 3 hours but was advertised for 3.5 hrs . However, I think they leave some extra time in case they need to do some searching for whales. I would probably do it again in the morning.
